We have a wonderful program training students on the Lathe. Partnering with the Sacramento County Office of Education, our club and the School District have purchased 8 lathes. Each week during the school year our volunteer coaches work with the students to teach them turning, but to also work one-on-one with them to help them create something they can be proud of.
It's a very rewarding program. If you'd like to participate please register here. We'll have a registration set for each Friday so feel free to sign up for one or more classes.
It is a problem when people sign up and don't show up, so if you can't make it, just cancel your reservation so we know who is coming.
