This week: Basic turning tools and how to use them
The popular Member Classes in the Palmiter School Woodturning shop/Art room are back. The classes will be held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month (one week before club meeting) from 4 to 8 pm. With more time available, we will start with a full demonstration and have enough time to finish the project.
There are only 9 lathes so register soon as they filled up quickly last year. Even if the class is full, register anyway and your name will be put on a waiting list. Waiting list members are welcome to come and observe or fill in for a no show.
We invite mentors/coaches to come and work with the novices and volunteer to lead a class. See Member Class Preparation
The Palmiter School Principal and the Board of Education Facilities director have approved our use of the classroom. In return we are expected to clean up after ourselves and follow the
rules of SCOE (Sacramento County Office of Education).
