Each month on the 4th Tuesday at 6:30 pm we have a monthly meeting (except November and December). We have a demonstration on woodturning and "show and tell" where members share what they have been working on. There is also plenty of good company.
This month's presentation by Gail Brooks will about pyrography. No actual burning will be demonstrated so as not to set off smoke alarms. She will share her perspective on when, where, how and why pyrography is an effective embellishment.
Our "President's Challenge" has started again. This month we want you to make a lidded box. The top three boxes in the Novice and Experienced categories will win a prize. Everyone who brings an entry will have their names in a drawing for a $ 50 gift certificate at the end of the year.
No need to sign up, just come to the Veterans Hall. Bring one or two things you've turned lately to share with the group (not more than two please). You can also bring items to donate to the Raffle if you have something in your shop you don't need anymore.
Come early if you can. Our Wood Gathering Committee usually has wood available for a small donation.
