Nor-Cal Monthly Meeting

  • April 23, 2024
  • 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
  • Veterans Hall, 1300 Forrest St., Folsom, CA 95630

Registration

Each month on the 4th Tuesday at 6:30 pm we have a monthly meeting (except November and December).  We have a demonstration on woodturning and "show and tell" where members share what they have been working on. There is also plenty of good company.

April’s presentation will cover the three basic types of rings and demonstrate how to turn an inlay core ring with wood or acrylic. John Burbank, one of our members, will provide insights and skills for those interested in turning a ring. He will explore the different types of rings, such as split rings, comfort core rings, and inlay core rings. He will also share tips, tricks, and techniques that will help you with design possibilities and showcase the versatility and creativity involved in crafting unique rings. Click here for John's info on how to turn a ring.

We'll have a "Vice-President's Challenge" this month.  The challenge is to turn a finial.  Any size or style is fine.  It can be attached to a turning or stand alone. There will be prizes for the Advanced and Novice turners.

No need to sign up, just come to the Veterans Hall.  Bring something you've turned to share with the group.

You can also bring items to donate to the Raffle if you have something in your shop you don't need anymore.

Hope to see you there!
