This comprehensive two day workshop will provide the information you will need to embellish your woodturnings utilizing pyrography as well as provide an opportunity develop story boards and practice various techniques. We’ll cover types of burning equipment, other necessary tools, making nibs, wood selection for burning, wood preparation, safety gear, design considerations, how to burn, incorporating color, and sealing your work.
Please bring a wood burner (if you have one), a couple of small turned pieces to burn with a functioning tenon/mortise, and mask or respirator. You will also want to bring a lunch and beverages. Sample boards will be provided.
